Kennecott Land and Jordan School District have been presented the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design silver level award for their energy efficient buildings. They have been recognized by the United States Green Building Council.
The Council recognized one building, Daybreak Elementary School, for its energy efficient designing.
Doree Strass, Principal, Daybreak Elementary School said,
This building is designed uniquely that the lighting, the natural lighting throughout the building. The heat pumps, cooling systems, there are rooms designed to help with the energy cost systems throughout the building.
