This inventive gem of a concept was thought of and designed by renowned designer Satoshi Yanagisawa. Basically the idea is to be able to recharge your daily portable gadgets anytime and anywhere without further negative impact on the environment. The name of this unique project is Cyclus and from the technical viewpoint it is simply a spring-driven personal electricity generator. The device is designed to be handheld and when its bottom is twisted, it provides 30 minutes of talk time to your cellphone.
Utterly simple as it may seem and yet according to the designer, the energy generated by the device is enough to drive the DC motor (in the upper part of the device) to produce energy approximately equal to 6.6V and 3W! Not only that, this device also incorporates the dictum of green technology, by causing zero pollution. The designer thinks of this device as a “catalyst for the next generation of ideas that generate social togetherness as well as electric energy.”
