The other day there was a headline appealing people to shift to bicycles to save Mother Earth. I then wondered if people – who actually want to help environment – were really ready burn out their fat accumulated under the things just to keep the environment pollution free. Well, really not. To all such motorcyclists with a sense of guilt, CRP Racing has rolled out its eco-friendly electric motorcycle – eCRP 1.4 on April 7 at Bobino Club in Milan.

This Italian made motorcycle is first of its kind as it is a racer and can easily compete with hi-fi racing motorcycles. Notably, the company – CRP racing – has huge fan following in the US and Italy.

Special features:

Among all other electric motorcycles, this bike is cost effective. The kurb weight of the motorcyle is 160 kgs and is evenly distributed to ensure maximum comfort to the rider. The second best feature of the motorcycle is the powerful dual DC motors, courtesy of a lithium-polymer 7.4Kw/h battery module, which helps in accelerating the speed to 220 kilometers per hour. The speedometer indicator will touch 100 kilometers within a span of just 3.2 second. Undoubtedly, amazing pick-up that can steal the hearts of bike lovers. The sensors and suspensions are reportedly awesome. Further, the bike has the feature of monitoring the temperature of the engine.

A rider need not pause and ponder to get home this speed piece as it’s being introduced by the company which has 40 years of good name in the motorcycle industry to its credit. The concept of the electric motorcycling and the company’s care for environment is something that has to be mentioned here for sure.

Mentioning about eCRP 1.4, Ivano Zanni, Managing Director of REC Solar for Italy and Spain said,

Our relationship with CRP was born from the desire of REC to be on track with an undisputed star of the green revolution in the field of motorsport, oriented to innovation and technology research, hallmarks shared by REC Group. eCRP, the electric motorcycle, becomes even ‘greener’ if it is recharged with solar energy produced by REC Peak Energy photovoltaic modules, which are known for their high energy performance and reduced carbon footprint

As rightly said by Ivano Zanni, the electric motorcycle should have the feature of solar recharge. May be CRP would soon work on that too. Hats off to CRP Racing for coming out with bikes that no more spoil the Ozone layer.
