Eco Factor: Energy-efficient home plans that prioritize reduction of water waste and toxins.
Using a hybrid model of on and off-site fabrication, the SquallCo Development has designed two home plans to offer warm, contemporary and green to the folks of Long Beach Island. Designed in collaboration with Steve Midouhas, the two innovative homes go by the names “Akamai” and “Ohana”. Both the houses will prioritize minimal energy consumption, reduction/elimination of toxins, reduction of water waste, and facilitation of 100% water permeability
The Akamai is a 1,250 square foot home that uses natural lighting and indoor/outdoor spaces to provide a larger experience. It houses three bedrooms and two bathrooms that offer a comfortable living to the dwellers. The Ohana on the other hand is a little larger with a 2,250 square foot of space. Those who seek style, luxury, comfort and privacy will love it. This house features multiple living areas, two bedroom suites, and abundant outdoor space. SquallCo expects that the house would require not more than four to five months to complete and would cost some $250 per square foot.
