Chrysler will come out with hybrid Dodge Ram for a green pickup

Here we have another reason to hold our horses till 2010. Chrysler LLC is gearing up to debut their hybrid version of it Dodge Ram pickup truck in 2010. The hybrid version of its high-volume hauler is part of the automaker’s plans to reshape its sales graph for the coming years. At the SAE 2008 World Congress, executive vice president of product development Frank Klegon, confirmed Chrysler’s plans. The company already expects to launch hybrid versions of its Dodge Durango and Chrysler Aspen SUVs in the summer and a standard redesigned version of the Dodge Ram in the fall. The hybrid Ram will have a similar drive system to the Durango and Aspen SUV hybrids, which use nickel metal hydride batteries and have larger engines that are capable of operating on four cylinders at highway speeds up to 70 miles per hour to improve fuel economy.
