China hopes to cut green house gas emissions and increase its renewable energy to maintain a sustainable economic growth and is plugging more than two trillion Yuan to meet its renewable energy target by 2020.
Renewable energy sources such as hydropower, solar, wind, bio fuels are some of the options they are looking into. At the moment, seventy percent of China’s total energy is powered by coal.
