The Challenge Bibendum to be held in Shanghai is a premier international event held in support of sustainable road mobility where the latest technologies and trends are shared between the manufacturers, policies and the media.
The Peugeot 307 Hybride HDi is all set to take part in this event. The hybrid combines a 1.6 litre HDi diesel engine that uses 30% biodiesel with a Diesel Particle Filter System and an electric power train and uses. The electric engine is powered by a Nickel Metal Hydride battery made up of 240 cells and the fuel consumption is reduced thanks to the electronically-managed manual gearbox and a Stop & Start system.
The hybrid will be demonstrated, test driven and evaluated in areas like fuel consumption, pollutant emissions, acceleration, braking, road handling, safety and design in this event. A positive feed back could give a boost to the product’s image.
