Cella Energy’s latest research promises $1.5 per gallon carbon-free gasoline

synthetic gasoline with no carbon emissions

How would like to fill up your vehicle with a fuel that costs $1.5 per gallon and apparently is as fuel efficient as any petrol-based fuel around today? Sounds like a sweet deal to us and that is exactly what Cell Energy claims it is capable of achieving with a little more time and commercial intent. While the technology seems shrouded much in mystery, they have claimed that their new hydrogen-based fuel that comes in the form of ‘micro-beads’ will drive vehicles of the present and future without any carbon emissions.

Obviously it is the ‘Zero-Emissions’ that have us all rubbing our hands in glee as that makes this whole new fuel technology not just easy on the purse, but also on the planet. While they seem to be not revealing much about the process of preparation of the fuel (obviously because they do not want others to catch on), the top secret project carried out for 4 years can apparently solve the world’s fuel problem.

Developed at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory near Oxford, UK by a team led by Professor Bennington, the fuel is based on complex hydrides that contain generous amounts of hydrogen. While we would like to know if the process behind this patented technology is as green as the fuel is while consumption, Cella Energy seems to be unwilling to talk about that.

And not to mention that the $1.5 per gallon price tag is without tax addition Despite all that this seems a very positive step towards the future of clean energy.
