Eco Factor: Cell phone with 15%reduced carbon footprint.
The latest addition to Sony Ericsson’s Green Heart line deserves appreciation. Called the Cedar, this cell phone is designed to have an ever smaller carbon footprint, reduced by at least 15% in this case. The green core of Cedar lay in its ability to reduce the overall environmental impact without compromising on the style and design of the talking gadget. The latest and greatest green addition has been made from recycled plastic and uses an energy efficient display along with water borne paint which helps reduce the carbon footprint. The phone uses an energy efficient charger, and also stores its manual online instead of using print which helps minimize the packaging.
