Its all-new bike light from CatEye. Not by its design but by the source by which it is fired. Its photovoltaic solar panel that powers this bike light by vibration. The light is itself about 3 cm x 6 cm. The light apparently fires up when vibrations (ostensibly from riding) are felt, and the little PV panel (under the transparent case on top) supplies power to the light as well. Not only that, if well taken care of, the light is said to have a potential life span of around 10 years. CatEye looks to be big fans of LEDs, not yet known on what sort of light would be used. Let’s wait and see what the CatEye comes up with. It is expected that early 2006 will witness it in the market.
