We are already aware of what LED light is. They are by now flooded in the market with the demand for alternative and eco friendly energies across the globe to combat global warming.
But, Matsushita Electric Works Ltd. (6991) has developed another LED light fixture, which is a bit different. It is a thin LED light fixture that is as bright as a 60-watt incandescent light bulb. But, the best thing is that it can last for 40,000 hours, or around 24 times as long.
The company also redesigned the LED so that heat migrates more effectively to the copper substrate of the power source, and hence the deterioration of the device is prevented. And because of this less heat radiation, the company is able to not only flatten the light fixture and increase its lifespan, but also reduce power consumption to just one-third that of a 60-watt bulb.
