Green is the way to go these days – I thought Japanese didn’t understand what this means, not because they are ignorant (I dare not say that) but, because of semantic barriers, though I’m proven untrue – they are a way-way ahead (the most environment conscious country in the world).
We are accustomed with the eco-friendly traffic lights, now its time to make way for eco-friendly Street Lights, an idea by Japan’s ‘sweetheart’ Sharp.
Model LN-LW3A1 and LN-LS2A1 are the latest incarnations from Sharp, aimed with the objective of doing that bit for the deteriorating global environment conditions – these street lights are powered by solar energy good for 1800 lumens. Both also come equipped with earthquake sensors that’ll automatically turn on (for 48 hours) in case of tremors over 5 degrees on the Richter Scale.
