Eco Factor: Eco village uses passive climate control measures to save energy.

English architect Tony G William has designed an eco village in Bali, Indonesia that aims to be an environmentally friendly structure. Dubbed as the ‘Bloo Lagoon’ the village establishes a symbiotic relationship between its inhabitants and nature. Built from natural building material such as excavated stones and bamboo the dwelling utilizes passive climate control measures instead of more energy consuming options.

The houses have open interiors to let in ample daylight besides allowing natural ventilation thereby saving on energy. To reduce energy wastage the village uses high efficiency LED lights, simple refrigerators, solar cells and natural cooking gas stoves. The village has a proper rainwater collection system which is filtered for use apart from black water system which too is biologically treated by the waste water gardens that are integrated throughout the village. To increase the sense of sharing the village has communal gardens to grow organic food for all its inhabitants.
