Biodegradable Dish Scrubbers and Brushes

biodegradable dish scrubbers

Here is another solution to help reduce swelling landfills. These biodegradable scrubbers come from Japan. These are made from thin ribbons of fine-grit sandpaper. Called “Sandclean Scrubbers”, they are said to outperform regular sponges and steel wool. Quite durable, they do not break apart. They work well on hard stains of tea or coffee in teapots and cups.

The Tawashi Brush shown here is a natural scrub brush and is made from palm fibers which are tightly bound with thick wire. There is no more bruising of skins, with this great utensil used for scrubbing root vegetables and other items without. These products are available from Korin for $7.50 to $8.50. Simply Natural Foods also sells the Tawashi Brush.
