Designers act like scientists in some ways. They are constantly experimenting with the use of materials in unexpected ways. And in our green world, they are always looked upon to transform mundane useless stuff into outstanding pieces of art. Well, even if such small acts may not really change the world in a huge way, it will at least leave you wondering “Why didn’t I think of that before?” Same is the case for this AutomoT.

Made from scraps of vehicles like wind shields and bicycle rims, this glass and metal table is designed by Girishbabu Uppin. While all of us hope that bicycles live a long, useful life within the realm of their original purpose, the truth is that many bikes eventually reach the end of their trail. I guess Uppin’s old rusty four-wheeler and cast-off bicycle lying in some corner of his garage were also finally thrown out. But not before salvaging some essentials! Are you heading for your garage too?
