Eco Factor: Zero-emission vehicle powered by an all-electric engine.
According to recent reports the Audi A2 will be an electric-only car when launched in 2012. The vehicle is set to be pitched against BMW’s Megacity, which is due to go on sale in 2013. The second generation model will drop the pricey spaceframe construction of the original A2 for a conventional steel-monocoque from the Audi A1.
While more details about performance or styling of the car are still under wraps, the company has hinted that the vehicle will follow the template of its predecessor featuring a tall one-box design and relatively narrow tracks.
