The Segway PT, although an efficient way of personal transportation, can be considered by some to be quite tiring. The Audi A0 developed in a joint collaboration between Technische Universitat Munchen and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México can be considered as a welcome alternative by the lazier ones as the Audi A0 allows the mobility of a Segway while allowing the user to sit.
The Audi A0, with its electric motor is combined with a single hollow wheel, which allows for self-stabilization. The navigation is tilt controlled and is compact – it can actually be folded up, packed in the car trunk, and carried around. The maximum speed is about 15kph; hence, it cannot be ridden through rush hour traffic to work anytime soon. It can handle a leisurely ride though the neighborhood but it cannot run too long as the electric battery of the A0 can last for only an hour. The Audi A0 is a compact, efficient, and comfortable form of transportation to get around for a quick ride around the great outdoors.
