Gone are the days when all-electric vehicles were the slow, clumsy and less wanted step-children of the auto world that played second fiddle to those merrily chuckling away on gasoline. Times have changed and also has the understanding of the world when it comes to fossil fuel and carbon emissions. Natural resources underground are getting thinner by the day and the air above is getting thicker with smoke. It is time now to goo all-electric and that is what the ArtegaSE at Geneva Motor Show offers.

The sizzling all-electric beauty is fitted with a twin 140 kW (187.7 horsepower) motors that separately aid in driving each rear wheel and powering the vehicle forward. For those who doubt its speed capabilities compared to the petrol version, here is some news to take note of. Despite additional weight, the Sports Electric models jumps from naught to 100 km/hr in mere 4.3 seconds- faster than in the case of ArtegaGT.

Topping off at 250 km/hr (155 mph) and promising a range of 300 km (186 miles) on a full charge of its 37 KWh battery, expect it to go close to that range mark, if not hit the 300 outright. There is also regenerative braking that will help further the range and add to the charge of the Lithium-Ion battery inside.

Offering an emission-free ride, the ArtegaSE comes at €150,000, which approximately converts to $210,000. Artega plans to sell 500 of these each year, so there are probably not too many to grab, should you want one.
