Narut Ruthiraphong, a Thai designer, has devised an object called the Angler to meet emergency requirements whenever natural disasters strike. The device works as solar powered torch cum radio which is fitted with solar cells and dynamo technology. The torch can be of great use in search and relief operations while the radio keeps the distressed connected with the rest of the world. Its use doesn’t just end there. The Angler finds use even afterward to work as a green fish luring lantern that can be attached to a boat using a special clamp.
