A new boiler plant at ‘vik Energi will be powered with biofuel! And the supply for this large power plant will be made by Aker Kvaerner, which has been awarded $50m for the job. The boiler plant is being built close to the town of ‘rnsk’ldsvik, Sweden.
Kvaerner Power — part of the Aker Kvaerner group — will utilize bubbling fluidized bed (BFB) combustion technology to supply the power boiler by burning bio-fuels. With a steam capacity of 130 megawatts and steam data of 540’C and 139 bar, the boiler will provide eco-friendly clean power to the locality.
The new boiler plant is scheduled to be ready by late 2008.
