Adriatic Sea Hotel proposes sustainable living on the waves

Navigating Adriatic Hotel

The concept of a navigating architecture, in the adriatic sea, is the brainchild of a noted architect Ivan Filipovic. Adriatic Sea, looks like a lake inhabited by beautiful aquatic animals. The architect came up with the idea of a navigating hotel in the sea, which is also referred as a “Botel”, meaning a combination of boat and hotel. This navigating hotel, dubbed Adriatic Sea Hotel, has many interesting features which can help it attract visitors. The special feature of this navigating hotel is that the entire structure has a main hotel with many detachable arms/modules, which can be easily re-connected with the main hotel.

There are two options of accommodation in this floating hotel. You can opt for a hotel in the harbor and city which is basically ideal for various types of water sports like the Croatian boat show, races and similar activities. The other, adventurous, option is to have a hotel in the distant and inaccessible areas of the sea. A helicopter or a boat can be used to go to other locations or the main hotel, where there are facilities like café bars, roof terrace, a nightclub, restaurants and much more.

The entire structure has a large mobile base with 22 smaller mobile modules. These smaller modules can be further separated to provide additional privacy to its user. The user can get detached from the main hotel at his comfort. Within safety considerations, the user can navigate the rest of the sea and other areas and join back with the main hotel after the day-long adventure. Such navigation can be adventurous and funny, with service vessels being used as the mode of transport. Atmospheric conditions like high wind or heavy rain should be kept in mind while doing adventurous activities. Winters may be troubling to the fun-seekers with squalls around.

The portable sleeping units are GPS enabled for the convenience of tourists. They are technologically advanced and are operated with the help of photovoltaic cells. While preparing these comfort zones, it has been ensured that the privacy of the user remains intact. The hotel has all the necessary facilities like an entrance lobby, reception, a specially designed toilet, bar, and a restaurant for entertaining guests or visitors. It also has modern amenities ranging from swimming pool, dressing room, and a multi-purpose terrace to a dance floor.
