Eco Factor: Sustainable yacht powered by hybrid propulsion system.
Adam Voorhees has unveiled the designs of a 66-meter yacht that connects luxury, sustainability and nautical lifestyle. Dubbed Ra, the superyacht explores transformability of space and interactions with light to reinforce the connection with the marine environment.
The vast main deck of the yacht serves as a multifunctional area that transforms for informal living or formal entertaining. The guest suites have been elevated above the main deck to offer prestigious accommodations with phenomenal views of nature.
Ra also makes extensive use of state-of-the-art sustainable technology to reduce its impact on the environment. The yacht is propelled by a diesel/hybrid propulsion system to provide reliable and a low-emission cruise. An advanced heat scavenging system and photovoltaic panels have also been included in the structure to provide needed energy for hospitality loads.
Moreover, the unique design of the yacht lowers rolling and slamming amplitudes while increasing stability and speed. A reduction in water resistance betters the yacht’s energy/fuel efficiency. The sustainably designed Ra also conforms to RINA Green Star Plus Secure Yacht regulations.
