Dualmode 2030 concept vehicle to utilize two separate maneuvering systems for transportation

Dualmode 2030

There have been conceptions whose intrinsic qualities define their level of efficiency as well as sustainability. But for a change, the Dualmode 2030 vehicle, conceptualized by designer Geoffrey Cooper, will have its potential attributes defined by the practical state of things. As can be ascertained by the apt name, this unique conception will have two different transportation mechanisms incorporated into a single automobile.

According to the designer, the Dualmode2030 will pursue an autonomous Maglev (magnetic levitation) guideway system, when the vehicle is traveling on the more lengthy freeways. The ‘autonomous’ mechanism applies to the vehicle that quite literally steers itself (with directions being fed), as is the case with magnetic levitation trains. This will in effect allow the driver to have some free time for himself over a long drawn commute. But once the car enters the cramped premises of an urban sector, the mode of transmission can be changed to the conventional manual driving. So, now the driver can control the car to reach his local destination. The overall efficient dual system will be able to accentuate upon the substantial amount of saved energy. Also, this type of hybrid transportation can facilitate the conditions of traffic in freeways (connecting major urban centers).

The designer has also envisaged of a totally new seating layout for optimum comfort of the passengers. In this type of layout the commuters will be lying from front to back (Batmobile anyone?), thus allowing greater degree of interaction between them. And as the concept name suggests its design to take place in the future, there will also be an element of sci-fi vibe associated with the interior setup. The element comprises of digital wall panels incorporated inside to enhance upon the level of social interaction by the passengers.
