This is height of recycling. But, when it comes to pampering or taking care of the environment, it can be tried on. What do you think?! Physicists in Singapore have developed a battery that can be powered by human urine. Yeah, you read it right — its human urine.
Led by Dr Ki Bang Lee, a team at Singapore’s Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology developed this battery. It’s a paper battery designed to be cheap to produce, and use urine as its power charge source. Only 0.2 ml of urine is needed to recharge the battery. This much of urine is able to generate a voltage of around 1.5 Volts with a corresponding maximum power of 1.5 mW. Different construction materials can be used to adjust the battery performance.
