Eco Board: Surfers’ Board Goes Eco-friendly

eco board

Here is the Eden Project’s long-awaited eco-friendly board, which has finally gone on sale. Back in 1950s’ Hawaii, most boards were made from wood! The vast majority of these surfers’ boards are a nasty mix of petrochemicals and fiberglass. And these end up in landfill making the environment toxic.

The Eco Board employs ultra light balsa wood, hemp and plant resin to make its boards. And it means fewer chemicals in the manufacture, which when happily compost when broken will not harm the environment much.
