Algae BioFuels: PetroSun’s subsidiary to develop bio-diesel form algae

biofuels to be produced from algae

With increasing demand for eco-friendly alternative to petroleum-based transportation fuels, algae cultivation is coming to stay to produce bio-diesel. Algae will be researched and developed as a source of alternative energy. Algae can produce 30 times more oil per acre, compared to the current crops now utilized for bio-fuels production. Algae bio-fuel is eco-friendly also in the sense that it contains no sulfur. It is non-toxic and highly biodegradable.

Planning to bank on this source of energy production, PetroSun Drilling Inc. recently formed Algae BioFuels Inc. as a wholly owned subsidiary. The Algae BioFuels will be engaged in the research and development of algae cultivation.

To determine the microalgae utilization, as an energy source, an extensive research is currently being conducted. Applications have been developed for biodiesel, ethanol, methanol, methane and even hydrogen.

The Algae BioFuels production facilities and R&D will be based in Arizona and Australia.
