With the increasing demand for fast food outlets and conscious packaging and presentation styles, the concerns for the ever-burdening landfills are also on the rise.
To, find a solution to this, instead of curbing on the fast food outlets, EarthShell Corp. has finally come up with biodegradable, compostable plates and bowls – that are made from potato and corn starches and lime from ground limestone.
Wegmans will be selling EarthShell’s plates and bowls as its first compostable dishware selling, said spokeswoman Jo Natale.
