Creating anti-cancer drug from bacteria! It can’t be created synthetically

The University of Warwick researchers are examining a way of using these organisms to do what they otherwise could not synthetically!

The bacterium Streptomyces coelicolor produce antibiotics – prodiginines – naturally. This antibiotics-group is capable of targeting and killing cancer cells.
