This life saving and eco-friendly technology has been developed by Kite For Sail. Today every manufacturer is trying to make machines that can be powered by renewable energy. Similarly, this technique works on “Advanced Wind Propulsion Technology”.

This is no new technique if you look at it in a broader sense. This is like using a Kite to propel the boat to its destination. Conventional means of using wind energy to power a boat makes use of sails. However, they may look good but they don’t make the full use of their resources. The ‘Kite For Sail LLC’ specializes in advanced wind propulsion technology that enables the Kite sail to harness higher atmospheric winds than conventional sails.

This technology enables it to ferry boats and other vessels in an emergency and in times of crisis. The company is now trying to use the same technology for land-based energy production.

The Kite For Sail has been designed by Dan Tracy, who is an enthusiastic sailor and fisherman from Mount Desert Island, Maine. The technology has been fully developed and rigorously tested. For the tests the company had used a modified 18 foot Hobie Catamaran. Then the technology was further refined and dozens of tests were conducted between 2004 and 2006.

This unusual project has not only earned fame for the designers but also financial and material support for them. The research and developers are also now planning to kite-sail the entire world over the next few years that will certainly result in fuel reduction, new technology, new jobs and a cleaner environment.

Designers all over the world have to work on such eco-friendly projects, since we all know that the petroleum reserves will get extinct in the near future. As we, all are already accustomed to the speed and ease petroleum has given us, new technologies should not make us slow and I am sure that the upcoming developments will only make us feel better.
