The non-stick technology that uses Polytetrafluoroethylene (PFTE) is as old and harsh on the environment as the name itself.
GreenPan is a new introduce in the non-stick market, but is out with a mission and intention that promises to deal with the biggest challenge the world confronts, churning out products that are convenient and sustainable.
GreenPan as the name suggests is an eco-friendly range of non-stick pans and other cookware, which unlike the conventional is made out of a ceramic-based nano coating named Thermolon that withstands up to 850 degrees F in comparison to normal non-stick that bears about 500 degrees.
Made in collaboration with the HSN and GreenPan ltd., the GreenPan cookware emits 50% lesser greenhouse-gases than it PTFE-based predecessors, and is affordable with a six piece set costing $89.90.
