Used inkjet cartridges have come back in a new avatar. Designed with panache Pre-Packaged, designed by Emma Caselton, is made of a continuous circuit of light daisy-chained together.
These are based on the same lines as the Christmas lights we use. The recycled lamp is a great option for the eco conscious, while its soft glow, which is a result of the embedded LED refelcts its usage for everyday.
LED’s light is softened by a small layer of plastic laid around every cartridge. This is then kept in between a mahogany veneered MDF frame and a panel of frosted acrylic. This gives a dramatic effect where the light spills out from all directions.
