Millions of tons of trash are generated all over the world and thousands of acres of land go waste to hold the trash. The polluted landfills not only are a sore point to the eyes but also cause diseases to those who stay around it due to the toxic gases and bacteria that are released from them.
While the world is reeling under the pressures of non-availability of power resources soon, it’s nice to see entrepreneurs and enthusiasts turning anything that is considered junk into sources of energy. We have seen how human waste could be used as biofuels and bio-reactors that produce hydrogen to produce electrical power.
If the plan of SunCrest Energy of converting these landfills into sources of energy succeeds, we may see a cleaner world soon! The Michigan based company wants to build a facility that would use incinerated trash to generate electricity.
How will this work? The facility would incinerate trash at more than 10,000 degrees converting it into synthetic gas, which would then power electricity-generating turbines.
Should this project be a success, nations can soon make some cash out of trash soon!
