Make your shower hot & keep the planet cool!

tankless water heater

Let me start off by saying this very quickly before I get your hopes all up. When I said ‘make your shower hot’, I meant it only regarding the water that you shower with & nothing else. Now that, that issue is out of the way, let us se how you can save a lot of energy (& your own bills) by making a simple change. (What? You people are still stuck at the ‘hot’ part? Oh, give me a break. I had every right to put that title on, as you would see, so move on)

Many homes still somehow seem to be using individual tank water heaters. Now I can understand the fact that some people want hot water & seething hot water, I mean, the instant they turn their hot water tap on. Now, many might claim that it is nothing unfair. All I can say to that is ‘might as well go live in Mt. Etna & swim in the magma tunnels’. I mean, really, what’s the hurry? Can’t you not wait for a minute or two before your water heats up?

What am I talking about? Well, change from individual tank water heaters to tankless hot water heaters. They do not store gallons of hot water & keep them hot. Sure, you will have to wait for a few minutes for the water to steam up to your desired temperature. But then, that is a small price you pay as you can save enormous amounts of energy with this shift. I know many might have already made the eco-friendly choice & that is great. But a majority will have to follow them. Tankless hat water heaters either use electricity or gas. The time taken for the water to get hot may vary with the model.

how the heater works

So, am I claiming that they are completely ‘green’? Hell no. But they are a lot better than the heaters that use over head tanks. I personally use water heating system that is integrated for the entire building & uses solar panels. Yes, in some seasons, it does not work well at all. A very early morning shower is also a cold one then. But it works well 90% of the times. Remaining 10% of the time, we can make alternate arrangements. I still say that it is the best way among all.
