Maybe most people still remember the time they spent in their tree houses, long back during that wonderful summer. Whenever you mention the name of a tree house, it is almost impossible for any adult to get nostalgic and go back in a trip down the memory lane. For those who are still young and enjoying it, it truly is a bliss. But here is a tree house that is made for everyone willing to give themselves up to the whims of nature.
This wonderful tree house hostel is present in Georgia and is located inside a wonderful forest. The Forest Hostel sits on 120 acres of forest and wetlands, and features 8 tree house/huts with fun names like ‘dragon’s lair’ and ‘peacock’. It looks really cool and wonderful. It is an absolute eco delight for anyone who takes shelter in it. The most important aspect of this wonderful place is that it advocates and practices a lifestyle that is completely natural.
The tree house hostel in the forest is not made for those seeking luxury though. Every night dinner is provided for the guests, with almost all the food coming from the Hostel’s natural ‘spray-free’ vegetable garden, the chickens and the goats. The kitchen uses wood stoves and cob ovens with dead wood from the surrounding forest, resisting the need for non-renewable energy sources. Raw dishes are often prepared, reducing energy consumption further. While it might not sound as the most tantalizing menu, it still is pretty good. Again the most important aspect is the tinge of nature that is preserved throughout.
The hostel also uses solar energy to power its energy needs and is in the process of expanding the use of solar energy further. With increasing urbanization thought, this place is also coming under the threat of being wiped out in the wave of modernization. But those who own the place are trying their best to avoid it. They are asking people to contribute to buy land which will enable them to save this wonderful resort in the lap of nature. Hope it works out for them as such a loss would be really sad to see.
