At a mere 3-meter long and 1-meter wide, the ultra-thin CLEVER trike concept really makes a mark as an urban vehicle for the future. Running on CNG (compressed natural gas), the CLEVER came into being as collaboration between the Technical University of Berlin, which together with a number of partners, including BMW, who wanted to create a three-wheeled, low-emission transportation system that can easily accommodate two persons with ease.

Weighing in at less than 400kg, the vehicle is capable of giving off 60g/km with a top speed of 100kph and an acceleration of 0-60kph in about 7 seconds, which is just about perfect for a city car. Though the CLEVER is being seen more as an exploratory model rather than a full solution, we certainly hope the findings of this project get used in real vehicles very soon.
