Not every thing crafted out of wood can be termed as eco-friendly and sustainable. But every piece of William Stranger’s collection can be termed as 100% green, eco-friendly and sustainable as all the furniture created is made of wood salvaged from the urban landscape or harvested from well-managed forests. This eco-designer makes the best of the trees that are blown over or cut down due to disease or construction. Utilizing unique wood that would otherwise be wasted, other materials include F.S.C. certified lumber, reclaimed wood from demolished buildings and construction sites and alternative sheet products like Kirei (from sorghum waste) and Bamboo. He balances the creation of striking, functional objects with a respect for the environment that contributes to a sustainable way of life. 
Monolith Desk Reflecting the intersection of nature and culture, the Walking Desk (the 1st image) managed to leave a mark on my eco-senses. The flowing form of the natural edge of claro walnut slab contrasts the hard lines of the case and legs. 
Bed Even the bed featured is customized with a pair of black walnut boards for the head and foot. It was derived from a salvaged tree milled by Groff and Groff lumber in Pennsylvania. The Monolith Desk with a “you are free” inscription on the drawer features a claro walnut top that was cut and milled by a Palo Alto tree surgeon. While stuff the Motion Cabinet with more of your eco-collectibles as the offset between the top and bottom sections f this cabinet suggests balance and movement. It is made of highly figured big leaf maple from the Pacific Northwest. Influenced by the structure of trees, buildings and animals, each piece of Stranger Furniture is a unique object.
