The first time we actually heard of the Home Energy’s wood pellet boilers, like many others we thought that it was a very bad idea. At the end of the day, little good could come out of burning wood and extracting energy from it. The perception was that it is detrimental to the planet in more ways than just one. But the actual facts show that these new boilers are far more effective than the traditional ones that use fossil fuel.
While burning wood can never be carbon-neutral, the fact is that wood boilers only produce as much CO2 as the wood would produce if it was left to decay in the forest. In other words, we are not causing an increase in the carbon levels in the atmosphere beyond the naturally accepted ones. It is just that we would now use the energy from the wood by burning in very controlled conditions.
Being fully automatic, the boilers do not really give you much of a chance to mess up anything, and are crafted to look pretty good too. With the production of power ranging between 12 KW to 62 KW, the new boilers hold an edge over the ones that use fossil fuel in every sense of the word, indeed.
