EcoFactor: A giant structure that houses a collection of plants and trees that purify the air and provide fresh and green atmosphere to local urban community.
Pau de Vallecas is an urban community in Madrid, Spain, that has found a new green hub for its entire community. As a part of going clean and providing fresh air to its residents, the municipality of Madrid has taken up the project of the “Air Tree.” This project involved the construction of a huge structure at the heart of the community that housed different types of plants and trees. This giant greenhouse not only provides fresh and clean air for the residents of Vallecas but also can be used for harnessing solar energy. The one-of-a-kind structure is self-sufficient and provides for a wonderful gathering space for the entire community.
The Dark Side:
Constructing such a vast and elaborate structure can be hard and very demanding in most parts of the world. Finding such space at the heart of modern urban communities is very difficult and such land would rarely be put to any use other than commercial ventures.
