Eco Factor: HDD Case with power saving mode.
This time Logitec Japan isn’t talking about recyclable plastic or non-toxic elements, but brought something better inside its new 1TB external HDD, the LHD-ED1000U2L. It’s specialty lies in its capability to stop any HDD rotation after 1 minute of inactivity on power saving mode. Other than this, it includes USB 2.0 and can work on both PC and Mac. The LHD-ED1000U2L will cost around 220 euros and most probably, its availability will be limited to Japan only.
The Dark Side: Only a PC with appropriate software will allow you to tweak the power-saving feature and increase the time needed to stop the HDD disk rotations.
