Eco Factor: Car powered by an electric drivetrain.

The dependence on fossil fuels has started to end with the launch of hybrid cars. However, we require machines that don’t use even a single drop of fossil fuel if we want to keep living the fast paced lives we are accustomed to in the future. AC Propulsion has developed one such car that they call the eBox, which is a 100% electricity powered car. The plug-in car can go 120 miles on a single charge, and once the batteries run out of juice, all it needs is a conventional AC power socket.

The electric drive train of the car provides enough power to take the car up to speeds in excess of 90 mph, managing 0-60 mph in a mere 7 seconds. The five-seat car needs just 30 minutes of charging for a 50-mile ride, and a 2-hour charge can completely charge its batteries.

The Dark Side:

Apart from its cubical looks, the car’s interiors are not something every car lover would enjoy. However, it’s just a small price to pay for a car that won’t need even a single trip to the gas station.
