Eco Factor: Electricity powered zero-emission car concept.
Korean designer Yongbang Ho has come up with a new concept car which is powered by a concept electric engine. The innovative feature of this new car is the use of OCE or One Common Energy. The system allows the user to attach the smart battery, which consists of a battery, a CPU and customized interfaces, with the car. The same system can be used for multiple vehicles further giving the user an opportunity to buy an engineless car and run it on the same platform. The OCE concept car not only powers itself from onboard OCE system, but also generates electricity through regenerative braking and wind across the body of the car.
The Dark Side:
Batteries have a limited lifecycle. If a person uses the OCE system for five years or more than that, then the OCE system might not be as efficient as it was when new. Using the same system in the new car is just like buying a new chassis of a Ferrari and using the engine of an old one.
