Using solar power or wind power for portable gadgets is cool, but what about those old rechargeable batteries that you might have been using for ages? No, you can’t just dump them, as they’ll end up polluting the water you drink. Confused? Don’t be so, as Knut Karlsen has a simple answer – wrap flexible solar panels over those old rechargeable NiMH batteries and you’re good to go.
