Eco Factor: Rainwater harvesting system for urban areas.

Conserving water is always a high priority for all eco-minded homeowners. The only problem till date was the unavailability of a trendy-looking rainwater harvesting system that can help people do their bit for the environment without spoiling the aesthetics of their modern homes. CISTA, a new entrant, changes everything. Designed by a team of designers at MOSS SUND Architects and Fig Forty, the rainwater harvesting system is trendy, sturdy and good looking.

The designers state that the system can collect up to 100 gallons of rainwater at a time without taking much space. Built from stainless steel, the system is sturdy enough to do the job for decades. A climbing plant is planted at the base and naturally winds its way up to the top of the 8-foot-tall tower, giving it a green and environmentally-responsible look.

The Dark Side:

Conventional rainwater harvesting systems don’t gel with modern homes. At this time the development of CISTA will definitely help urban people to help the environment. Provided the system doesn’t cost a fortune, we have no doubts that it would be a part of every eco-conscious home.
