Eco Factor: Old wood recycled into green surfboards.
Tom Orlando, a self-retired surf bum and bartender, is now on a green mission. The eco-artist wants to end the use of toxic Styrofoam and fiber in surfboards by using recycled and discarded wood for the same. Tom is now using his carpentry skills honed by years in building new products from refuse. Tom gathers wood and other discarded material from demolition or construction sites, which he then blends and mixes together to create glossy surfboards ready to thrill you on the next tide. Check out the video after the jump.
