Eco Factor: Lampshade made from recycled toothpicks.
Be it junked objects, street trash or landfill waste, green designers have no shortage of raw material which can be crafted into stunning forms using the finest of creative skills. Daisuke Hiraiwa is a designer blessed with tons of creativity and skills. The “Toothpick Lamp” is one of his several creations that were showcased during New York Design Week.
The lamp consists of hundreds of toothpicks that are glued together to form different shapes. The lamp design can be made even greener if ecofriendly glues are used during development and an energy-saving lamp is used to illuminate it.
