The EcoMill, as the company has named this fitness machine, is a manually-powered treadmill that uses zero electricity. The self-sustained machine works by converting your calories into precious watts, thereby saving a few watts of grid electric power.
The treadmill is based on Woodway’s ingenious drive system that is nearly frictionless and allows the user to keep him fit without harming the environment in the least possible fashion. As the user works out on the treadmill the motion of the drive system powers a generator, which converts the energy into electricity to power the display and the elevation system. With all that in place the system is due to replace some motorized treadmills in the health club near you.
