Eco Factor: Mobile shelter powered by solar energy.

Architecture and Vision have designed a solar-powered mobile lounge, dubbed MercuryHouseOne, which seems to get inspiration from a computer mouse. Clad in Carrara marble, the stunning unit makes the inhabitants rely on off-grid solar energy that is generated by solar panels mounted on its roof.

The unit has been designed by integrating functional and aesthetical considerations in a small yet elegant package. MercuryHouseOne is designed to fit both urban and natural environments, helping the environment in both cases. The exterior is made from the finest Carrara marble, which is backlit at night, enhancing its form and creating special attention for evening events.

To enhance the experience of the inhabitants the latest in lighting, video and music technologies will be incorporated, all of which will be powered by the unit’s rooftop solar panels. MercuryHouseOne will be displayed in Venice in September.
