Eco Factor: Energy-saving architecture design.
Studios Architecture has unveiled the design of a sustainable office space for Earth’ Smart. Dubbed the Earthsmart Hub, the architecture is designed as a space that aims to encapsulate the company in a sustainable fashion.
The structure features a central void between the north and south hemispheres, which will have a full height atrium spanned by pedestrian bridges. The folded plane provides a surface for sustainable elements, including a landscaped garden on the eastern side. The western end features a water wall that descends five stories in front of fresh air intake fans.
The building will also capture storm water runoff and use it for irrigating the landscaped garden. This green area will also regulate solar heat gain, reducing energy demands.
