Tokyo-based Waseda University’s research team gives you all the reason to buy their new electric car. It is affordable, tiny, and light and offers a decent driving range. The “ULV [JP]”, short for Ultra Lightweight Vehicle is a one-person green vehicle looks more like a bike.

This mini car powered by a 400W motor has a driving range of 80km. Weighing mere 72.6kgs, the ULV can reach up to a speed of 40km/h. The compact vehicle comes in customized versions to suit small business owners, advertisers, event organizers, and other groups. It requires just four hours of charging and each charge costs just $0.40, which is 10 times less per kilometer than the Toyota Prius.
