Eco Factor: Sustainable skyscraper concept designed to harvest renewable energy.
The Space-Skyscraper is the brainchild of designer Mohamed Abdel-Aziz, who is aiming to green the Maadi neighborhood located in the southern part of Cairo, Egypt. The proposal features three twisting towers that are interconnected by a geo-sphere on the top floors.
The first tower is used for offices, the second features a five star hotel and the third provides space for high-end residences. The geo-sphere, which connects these three towers, incorporates a health center with a spa, swimming pools and other fitness areas.
The Space-Skyscraper derives its form and structure from wind studies and aims to maximize views of the adjacent pyramids, Cairo and the Nile. The sustainable skyscraper includes various water collection systems to conserve water and features solar panels and wind turbines to generate renewable energy.
